Scarborough’s 2024 highlights

With a summer of fun in Scarborough fast approaching, here are some of the new and returning events and activities you can expect in Scarborough this year.

Scarborough Open Air Theatre

One of Europe’s largest open air theatres, with a capacity of 8,000 – you could be joining the crowds at their amazing gigs. Their summer line up starts on 2nd June with Status Quo and other famous acts include Anne-Marie, Tom Jones and Fat Boy Slim to name a few!

Scarborough Spa

This amazing venue looks out over Scarborough’s South Bay and is popular with touring performers. From comedian Sarah Millican to Circus spectacular, Cirque: The Greatest Show – there are hundreds of shows at this amazing venue.

Scarborough Fringe

 A new addition to the Scarborough events calendar by The Scarborough Fair. 21 – 30 June showcasing the best of contemporary arts around the Yorkshire Coast.

Armed Forces Day

On Saturday 29 June, Scarborough’s South Bay will be host to Armed Forces Day where you can show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces Community. Watch the amazing parades and enjoy the many games and stalls. A great day out for all the family to enjoy.

Naval Warfare at Peasholm Park

Throughout July and August (3 times a week) you can watch as 20 foot replica boats recreate “The Battle of Peasholm” on the park’s lake in beautiful garden surroundings.

There’s no denying – Scarborough’s events programme for the summer is jam packed and that’s just a flavour of it…
